Journey through the Book of Mormon: 3 Nephi 26 (Holiness which is in Christ)

5 If they be good, to the resurrection of everlasting life; and if they be evil, to the resurrection of damnation; being on a parallel, the one on the one hand and the other on the other hand, according to the mercy, and the justice, and the holiness which is in Christ, who was before the world began.
I love the wording of this verse and in particular it’s emphasis that mercy, justice, and holiness are in Christ rather than independent. For us, our savior is the fount of all righteousness. He also achieved the perfect balance between mercy and justice. Therefore, man of holiness was his name. When we will stand before God for judgment, we will be judged according to the degree of that light of Christ that is within us. I love the constant reminders throughout the Book of Mormon that Christ is the source of all goodness and that we need to turn to him in all that we do and are.
