Journey through the Book of Mormon: Jacob 6 (Both Roots and Branches)

“And how merciful is our God unto us, for he remembereth the house of Israel, both roots and branches; and he stretches forth his hands unto them all the day long”

Just as Nephi did after quoting Isaiah, Jacob offers a masterful distillation of the core message of the parable of the vineyard from Zenos. Jacob wants his people and all those reading the Book of Mormon to know that whether you are born into the house of Israel (Roots) or grateful in as converts (Branches) God is mindful of you. He reaches out to you. Whether you were born into to covenant or not, you are beloved by him. And God will do everything that he can to preserve you and keep you.
